Just 1 of the fun things from Time Out!

Much Needed Time Out

I just wanted to tell all women out there that Time Out for Women is just that and every sister could use a Time Out right? That is exactly what I needed and got! I was inspired to re-focus my life back to the Savior and be the best woman that I can be! There was some really great speakers and sensational music talent. Sheri Dew, S. Michael Wilcox, Wendy Watson Nelson the wife of Russel M. Nelson and my personal favorite was Kim Belcher. The talent was singer Hilary Weeks and violist Jenni Oaks Baker. I just loved it!

A few of my favorite quotes from the weekend were:
Sheri Dew - "Learn the language of your personal revelation - it takes a long time to learn it and ask the Lord for help"
Kim Nelson - "It's okay to be blessed and grateful and have a bad day"
Deanne Flynn - "Motherhood is the greatest challenge because it never ends." "Focus on the things that last"
Kris Belcher - "If you want something...anything just turn to Jesus Christ."
The theme was SWEET ASSURANCE! And we were challenged to think of something we know, that we have had sweet assurance of in our lives!

I KNOW THAT MY FAMILY IS FOREVER and that just makes everything that I do in this life more important and my title as a mother all the more important! Because I want all of my family to be together for eternity!
I hope that if you ever get a change to go to Time Out that you will take it because you won't regret it! You will be inspired and left feeling LOVED!!!

1st Day of School

Yesterday was the first day of FIRST Grade. Analise was nervous and so was Mom! Once I showed her around her classroom and found her desk...she was happy as a clam! "This is great", I thought! Until about 11:30 and the baby I watch was napping and it was quiet and I mean quiet in my house! "What do I do?" I thought. And then the tears started flowing! I was so sad that she was gone and I didn't know what to do without my best friend! Luckily my sister helped me through the tears and I was able to accomplish something that day...even if it was a banner that said "Welcome Home Analise" and a trip to Target for a little gift for her 1st day. Yes I am a pathetic mom! But I know it will get easier and I will eventually enjoy my time! When she came home it was so perfect because she loved everything about her day! Yeah! Happy 1st day of school everyone!

Overview of our summer!

This summer was actually a quiet summer! We didn't go too many places or make ourselves crazy. But we enjoyed it none the less. Here is a few things that happened... Trixie got her 1st haircut! Yes this is the dog that we all were so excited to get and we are still learning to love her! Emphasize on the learning!!! But I have to say she is pretty adorable! We put her in training classes so hopefully it helps! 4th of July was a Blast! We started it off by running a 5K in Roseville! My first ever! Cristy and Mandi were the culprits that pushed me to do it and then I decided to get my family involved. So my sister and my dad ran! It sparked the runner in me! Because now I have to say I enjoy running! I finished in 29:21! My goal was under 30 minutes so I did it! Now I'm shooting for a half marathon! I loved the atmosphere and I think this will be something we do every year! Then we enjoyed the rest of our day relaxing! And then ended with fireworks of course! My daughter is a fish! We did 2 sessions of swim lessons and she passed level 2! Everyday she asked if she could swim! Luckily we have 4 neighbors with pools and let me tell ya...we used them all! We ended the summer with a camping trip to Bodega Dunes on the coast. It was so nice and cool! The beach was a little too cold but we enjoyed it anyways! We just had so much fun! The only thing that wasn't fun was the skunks and raccoons in our campground! Yikes they just got a little too close! I think we definitely need to make a trip back to the beach!

A comedian?

Month 2 of summer break and I have enjoyed the moments that I have shared with Analise. From swim lessons to just lounging in our pj's until afternoon. She is a hoot lately. She is always coming up with some funny things and has brought joy to me this summer. Here has been some of our conversations: While driving in the car, Mom says "Today is going to be busy and I'm not looking forward to it" Analise "Just save the drama and send it to NETFLIX!" ---- While talking with the neighbors outside. Analise says "Everyone's a critic!" --- Just talking about Daddy coming home from work. Analise says "Boys have no sense of humor!" And then you can't help but laugh at the picture...She is such a joy! And I once heard that LAUGHTER IS INNER JOGGING!!! So Analise, thanks for helping me work out just a little more!

My ministering ANGEL

You know when you just have one of those days that everything that can go wrong, does!? Well that's my day today! Nothing went right and I kept saying it was going to get better and it just didn't.... It's only day 2 of Cody out of town for 2 weeks straight and it is just a little crazy. But I have had a prayer in my heart all day that something would make it easier! And I'm in tears as I think about a simple prayer that was answered! A knock on my door, a plate of cookies (since cookies always makes things better) and a sweet note that says I was thinking about you, I love you!!! That was it! So whoever was my angel today...THANK YOU for listening and being an answer to my prayer! I love you, too!

9 years and counting!

Wow, how time flies? It has been 9 years since we were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and I just wanted to pay tribute to the man that has made those 9 years wonderful! He is such a fun person to be around. Even serious things in life can be funny and it makes for 9 years of laughter. I love that he helps me out so much. Cooking, cleaning and getting Analise ready...he is almost an expert at doing her hair. It makes for 9 years of having a 2nd mom around the house. And he is so wonderful at letting me know that I'm a good mother and wife. It makes for 9 years of a happy me! I love this man and I can't wait to see what the next years will bring! Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!
