1st Day of School
Overview of our summer!
This summer was actually a quiet summer! We didn't go too many places or make ourselves crazy. But we enjoyed it none the less. Here is a few things that happened...
Trixie got her 1st haircut! Yes this is the dog that we all were so excited to get and we are still learning to love her! Emphasize on the learning!!! But I have to say she is pretty adorable! We put her in training classes so hopefully it helps!
4th of July was a Blast! We started it off by running a 5K in Roseville! My first ever! Cristy and Mandi were the culprits that pushed me to do it and then I decided to get my family involved. So my sister and my dad ran! It sparked the runner in me! Because now I have to say I enjoy running! I finished in 29:21! My goal was under 30 minutes so I did it! Now I'm shooting for a half marathon! I loved the atmosphere and I think this will be something we do every year! Then we enjoyed the rest of our day relaxing! And then ended with fireworks of course!
My daughter is a fish! We did 2 sessions of swim lessons and she passed level 2! Everyday she asked if she could swim! Luckily we have 4 neighbors with pools and let me tell ya...we used them all!
We ended the summer with a camping trip to Bodega Dunes on the coast. It was so nice and cool! The beach was a little too cold but we enjoyed it anyways! We just had so much fun! The only thing that wasn't fun was the skunks and raccoons in our campground! Yikes they just got a little too close! I think we definitely need to make a trip back to the beach!

My ministering ANGEL
You know when you just have one of those days that everything that can go wrong, does!? Well that's my day today! Nothing went right and I kept saying it was going to get better and it just didn't.... It's only day 2 of Cody out of town for 2 weeks straight and it is just a little crazy. But I have had a prayer in my heart all day that something would make it easier! And I'm in tears as I think about a simple prayer that was answered! A knock on my door, a plate of cookies (since cookies always makes things better) and a sweet note that says I was thinking about you, I love you!!! That was it! So whoever was my angel today...THANK YOU for listening and being an answer to my prayer! I love you, too!

9 years and counting!
Wow, how time flies? It has been 9 years since we were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and I just wanted to pay tribute to the man that has made those 9 years wonderful! He is such a fun person to be around. Even serious things in life can be funny and it makes for 9 years of laughter. I love that he helps me out so much. Cooking, cleaning and getting Analise ready...he is almost an expert at doing her hair. It makes for 9 years of having a 2nd mom around the house. And he is so wonderful at letting me know that I'm a good mother and wife. It makes for 9 years of a happy me! I love this man and I can't wait to see what the next years will bring! Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!

It's just like having a new baby!?
It all started when the due date was set for Easter weekend. We got a phone call that said she wouldn't be here for another week. The long week finally passed! The due date was here again. And I was nesting, seriously cleaning the whole house from top to bottom. We drove quickly to the airport and anxiously waited with 2 other families. After 2 long hours, we got more bad news. False labor? She missed her flight and we could pick her up at 11:45 at night. Drove home and put Analise to bed. Cody drove out himself and I blogged away until he got home. Cody walked in and I was in tears. The sweetest little face poking out at me. She was the tiniest thing I had ever seen. We cleaned her up and the adventure began. Waking up in the middle of the night, wondering if she was okay and not to mention the potty breaks. But after 1 night she was sleeping through the night and I thought this is too easy.....Little did I know....Postpartum depression....in the worst kind of way!! The pooping and peeing inside has got to stop and not to mention the running from me and biting!! AAAAHHHHH!!!!! Then I'm reminded by Cody that she is just 10 weeks old and she is learning just like a baby! Do I have this in me? I hope I can hold out because the joy that little Trixie has brought to Analise is beyond comparison! She is always happy to wake up and take her potty in the morning and play with her. She is even sad that she has to miss her while she is at school. She just loves her...I mean who would let a dog lick there face all over and I mean all over! They are 2 peas in a pod! So I will make it and I'm sure after 6 months, she will be the best addition to our family! And she will be a JOY to all of us! Welcome to our family Trixie!
